Visited Tail Up Goat for the 10 year Resy anniversary. The dinner was overall delicious and we loved the extra caviar, champagne, and take home treats. Service was amazing and the portions were great. We enjoyed most dishes, but the cheese course was heavy and tasted kinda like cheese wizz - desert was also quite heavy with a chocolate cake. All in all great dinner I would recommend, just not sure that I would pick it over other 1 Michelin star restaurants in the area.

Tail up goat was a culinary experience. Very modern take on food. We enjoyed each course, full of flavor. The pacing was perfect and each course was unique and interesting. Service was top tier. I would say the vibe of the restaurant is modern minimalist. It was comfortable, felt like dining at a friends place. Highly recommend checking it out.

Reservations can be made via Resy and you will need your provide credit card to book. If you have food allergies, they are very accommodating. Luckily, our group only has bad food allergies. It is a set menu for $130. You can also pair with wine for extra. Tip is included which ensure the service was attentive and top notch. The atmosphere was very clean and modern. I liked how entire 6 course came sparingly. Every dish was made well, creative, and good. You won't be either under or over stuffed but just right. They do make sure that you enjoy your dish. I personally don't eat seared fish so my husband usually benefits from this. Our server quickly made noticed of this without me saying anything and brought us an extra course. I felt bad at first but felt totally satisfied that I got to have something that I can enjoy. This is a superb service and they really want you to enjoy every dish. Thank you!

The meal started off on a really high note, with a snack plate consisting of vegetable crudite with a white miso dip, a toast with a pine honey butter, and a mushroom duxelles tarte. The next course, a yellowfin tuna sashimi with strawberry and Calabrian chili, was one of the most interesting and well composed things I've eaten in a while. The remainder of the meal was very good, but there were small slip ups--the halibut was a bit dry, and the risotto that came with the coffee-rubbed steak was memorable for being so unmemorable and uninspired. The steak, however, was cooked and rested to perfection. The craquelin bun with goat cheese, which came between the steak and the dessert, was a bit salty and heavy for that point of the meal. In general, my feeling is that with only six courses, some of which are quite light, and with a 22% service charge added to all checks (!!), the entire meal needs to be PERFECT, and it just wasn't.
